Executive - Technical (Livestock)
Description

To provide technical leadership and field-level support for the implementation of the Livestock
Development Programme under the Lakhpati Kissan Programme, with a focus on improving
livestock-based incomes through effective animal health services, capacity building, field
monitoring, market linkages, entrepreneurship development, and coordination with relevant
stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities
  1. Ensuring the income envisaged for each of the prototypes—Pig, Goat, and Backyard Poultry—as per the programme design.
  2. Coordinate with the Animal Husbandry Department and ensure regular health and vaccination camps in all programme villages, along with veterinary support services for farmers.
  3. Ensure capacity building of the Block Technical Team and GSPs/LSPs/Entrepreneurs in implementing the Livestock Improvement Programme.
  4. Conduct regular field supervision, monitoring, MIS management, and monthly and quarterly reporting of the Livestock Programme in Tundi.
  5. Integrate market platforms with various FPOs for the marketing of livestock.
  6. Roll out the entrepreneurship model for all livestock thematic prototypes.
  7. Support the Theme Anchor through data analysis for preparing financial and narrative reports pertaining to livestock-related grants.
  8. Execute other project activities in the assigned project villages.
Desired Candidate Profile
  1. Education: M.V.Sc. /B.V.Sc. & A.H. (Veterinary)
  2. Experience: Minimum 3 yrs. of field experience of working on livestock development, preferably with small ruminants
Key Skills
  1. Field visits and handholding support to Field staffs and farmers.
  2. Good Communication & Documentation skills.
  3. Good knowledge of Hindi and English.
  4. Computer Knowledge in MS office.
  5. Willing to work with community.
